2. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data for the following purposes:

• Managing enquiries and availability/booking requests: name, email, phone and message content. Basis: performance of pre-contractual measures or a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, where applicable, consent.
• Customer service and communication: replying to emails, calls or WhatsApp. Basis: legitimate interest or contractual/pre-contractual relationship.
• Compliance with legal obligations: invoicing, accounting or requests from authorities when applicable. Basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
• Website operation and cookies: according to your choice in the cookie banner. Non-essential cookies are based on consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

3. Data we collect

• Identification and contact details provided via forms or by email/phone/WhatsApp.
• Technical browsing data (IP, browser type, pages visited) to the extent allowed by cookies or the hosting server.
• Language preference and cookie consent.

We do not request special categories of data. Do not use the form to send unnecessary sensitive information.

4. Recipients and processors

We do not sell your data. The following may access it:

• Web hosting provider for the operation of the site.
• Google (Maps and fonts), only if you accept external content cookies: they may process IP and technical data under their own policies.
• Public authorities when there is a legal obligation.

5. International transfers

If you use Google services (maps or fonts) after giving consent, transfers outside the European Economic Area may occur under the safeguards provided by those providers (standard contractual clauses or other mechanisms). You can reject those cookies at any time.

6. Retention

• Enquiries and emails: for as long as needed to handle the request and, at most, 2 years from the last communication, unless a claim or legal duty applies.
• Billing/stay data: the applicable legal periods (generally up to 6 years for commercial/tax matters).
• Cookie preference: up to 180 days or until you change/delete it.

7. Your rights

You may exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise them, write to info@areaautocaravanas.com stating your identity and request. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD): www.aepd.es.

8. Cookies

We use first- and third-party cookies. On arrival you can accept them, reject non-essential ones or configure them by category (necessary, preferences, analytics, marketing and external content). Necessary cookies cannot be disabled.

If you decline external content, the Google map and external fonts will not load. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer.

9. Minors

This site is not directed at children under 14. If you are a parent or guardian and notice a minor's data submitted without authorisation, contact us so we can delete it.

10. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data (restricted access, site updates, form protection). No system is 100% secure; please do not send passwords or bank details via the contact form.
